		<description>Ron -- It&#039;s always best to replace recessed lights that will be near insulation with IC rated ones. However, building a big enough box around a non-IC rated one using something fire-rated (think drywall) should be fine. Just be sure not to use a bulb bigger than the manufacturer&#039;s suggestion. To be safe I always recommend putting a CFL or LED in the fixture to ensure there is less heat emitted than a standard incandescent light bulb. Hope that helps.</description>

		<description>This looks like what I want to do with my can light situation, but I&#039;ve heard that sealing in a fixture like this can trap too much heat and  maybe start a fire or, at best, the lights might shut off automatically till they cool down. How do you get around this problem. Do you suggest replacing all fixtures with approved lighting before sealing them in? Thanks for any help.</description>
