This Past Winter’s Bills
Heating bills around Southcentral Wisconsin were down between 25-35% this past winter. How could this be?
Well, natural gas prices were the lowest they’ve been in six years (see graph below).

In addition to abnormally low energy prices, we also had a very mild winter. As a matter of fact, heating degree days (a measure of how much and for how long the outside air temperature was lower than 65 degrees) were down 8% from the average winter.

If you were paying $300 per month in January, you could expect next January to be closer to $400! That means now is the time to start making your home more energy efficient.
